What is transplantation with FUE method ?
FUE (Follicular Unıt Extraction) method; hair follicles are collected individually with the help of micro motor and then transplanted to the area where hair transplantation will be performed. The steps of the method; preparation for the operation, proper root uptake, determinition of the hairline and planning the planting area, opening the canals. Each of these steps should be done with care.
In the preparation stage, first of all, the medical history of patient is taken and examined by the doctor, then blood tests are taken and sent to the laboratory. While waiting for results, the hairline is determined and the hair transplantation areas are planned by evaluating the transplantaion area of our patient. The patient’s hair is shaved after sowing plan is made by taking the opinion of the patient. It is compulsory to do the trimming on the nape where the grafts will be taken. This is because the hair length should be 0.3 mm in order to process the hairs with micro motor and to take the grafts together with their roots.
In the area where hair transplantation is to be performed, shaving is not mandatory, but it is recommended to shave patient complattely because it is in harmony with the nape and because it is healthier for post-planting. In small areas are made in our clinic in order to make our patient psychologically and socially comfortable.
After the shaving procedure, local anesthesia is performed to prevent the patient from feeling pain with micro needles. In the meantime, intravenous drug treatment is initiated to prevent allergic reactions and less pain in our patient. After showing the effect of anesthesia, it is made ready for receiving by injection of serum under the skin in the area to be taken.
The process of loosening thehair follicles and collecting the grafts with a micro motor lasting for about two hours should be done with care. Grafting is one of the most important stages of hair transplantation. In our clinic, inexperienced personnel do not application the patient at this stage. It is also important that the motor ends are thin and undamaged fort he health of the grafts and no scarring. A separate tip should be used for each patient. After this stage, the roots are grouped to 100 in the right way and the channel openning process is started by keeping the sterile and nutritious environment.
